Anita Carter - Director of Nursing

To run a top quality aged care facility you need a top flight Director of Nursing and in this regard we were very lucky to secure the services of Anita Carter.

With expertise in every facet of aged care and a nursing background that goes back many years Anita brings comprehensive knowledge and a warm personal touch to this key role. Anita has qualifications and experience in area’s including 22 years working in aged care, OH&S, workplace training, human resources and project management.

Anita loves being effective in meeting the needs of residents, family and staff.

 

Sue Round - Administration Assistant

The link to community and caring runs as a constant stream through the career of Sue Round and her appointment to Ageing Together marks another step along this path.

Sue came to us after 8 years at the Springvale Residential Centre where she proved her administrative ability with a complex set of responsibilities in an aged care environment. These included assistance with the supervision of kitchen, domestic, laundry and maintenance staff as well as OH&S and assisting with the management of critical  accreditation criteria.

Describing the people she deals with as “an extended family that you love to feel part of” Sue divides her spare time between enjoying her other family life and studying ancient British history.

Anna Kijek - Diversional Therapist and Life style coordinator

Anna is a qualified psychologist, music therapist and diversional therapist and who has worked in aged care for over 10 years and we are privileged to have someone with her qualifications and experience on our staff.

Anna and her assistants offer and organise activities which are divided into several main groups comprising mentally, socially, sensory and physically stimulating activities. She also offers counselling and emotional support to residents and encourages their cultural and spiritual life.

Perhaps not surprisingly Anna’s love for music goes beyond work. She is an accomplished pianist and also enjoys travel, art, architecture, sailing, skiing, bike riding, walking and swimming.

 

Amy Tsang - ACFI / Respite Co-ordinator

Amy has worked for over 16 years in aged care as a nurse and in administration. A critical part of Amy’s role is to ensure that we are always adequately funded to ensure the highest possible standard of care. 

Amy’s interests include meditation, self awareness, travel, singing, sociology and music.

 

Wendy Chen - Care co-ordinator

Wendy is a division 1 registered nurse who has worked in aged care for over 8 years. She is highly motivated hard working employee for whom nothing is too much trouble and she is held in high esteem by staff and residents alike.
